ViewLevel 2 Certificate in Understanding Coding (DL)
This course will be delivered online.
This qualification is designed for learners who are looking to gain an introduction to coding.
This will likely be with a view to studying the subject at a higher level and/or seeking employment in a software development related role.
To be eligible for this course you must have at least Level 1 English skills (e.g. Functional Skills English) or equivalent. If you are not able to produce evidence of an English qualification, you will be required to take a short assessment.
To ensure this course and style of learning is suitable for you, we will also require you to complete a short course application and attend a brief [online] interview. You must have access to the necessary I.T equipment and internet service to study on this course. A PC, laptop or tablet is recommended.
Maths Prepare for your Level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE
Are you thinking about studying GCSE Maths or Functional Skills Maths Level 2 next year? This course is designed to help you prepare! Whether you're already a student at RHACC or new to the college, this course will give you a solid foundation. You'll become familiar with the content, level, and expectations of a Level 2 Maths qualification, building your confidence with the support of our friendly tutors.
Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Cyber Security - NCFE (DL)
This course will be delivered online.
The target learner for this qualification will be an individual looking to gain a greater understanding or build upon their existing knowledge of Cyber Security issues. This will likely be with a view to studying the subject at a higher level and/or seeking employment in a Cyber Security related role.
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date. You must have Level 1 English skills (e.g. Functional Skills English). If you are not able to produce evidence of an English qualification, you will be required to take a short assessment. Greek Language and Civilisation
Ever wondered about the origins of democracy or the roots of modern medicine? This course is for complete beginners and will introduce you to the fascinating language and culture of Ancient Greece. You'll learn to read Ancient Greek characters, explore excerpts from famous authors and philosophers, and discover the lasting influence of this civilisation on the modern world. Plus, we'll discuss the many Greek roots in the English vocabulary, enriching your understanding of language itself.
Exploring Latin and Roman Civilisation
Join our Saturday classics class. This course will introduce you to the language and culture of Ancient Rome. After a gentle introduction to the Latin language, you will use excerpts from famous authors to discuss the Roman and its lasting influence on the modern world. You will also discuss the many Latin roots in the English vocabulary.
