It will prepare you for the Entry 1 Functional Skills Maths course by familiarising you with the content, level and expectations. You'll build confidence and get a head start. CISCO IT Essentials V7.0 Computer Hardware and Software
CISCO IT Essentials covers fundamental computer and career skills for
entry-level IT jobs. Students apply skills and procedures to install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, mobile devices, and software. For students seeking career-oriented, entry-level hardware and software skills to prepare for technical support roles, this course aligns with the CompTIA A+ certification. This course also serves as a foundation for CCNA-level courses.
Introduction to Sewing & Clothesmaking
Learn the essentials of machine sewing in this beginner-friendly course. You’ll gain
confidence threading a machine, winding a bobbin, and troubleshooting common stitch
errors while practicing key techniques producing straight seams, zig-zag finishes, and
zipper insertion. Alongside developing practical sewing skills, you’ll get familiar with
essential pattern terminology and fabric choices, learning how to read symbols on
commercial patterns and select suitable materials per project. By the end of the course,
you’ll complete 1-2 simple sewing projects - such as a tote bag, cushion cover, ½ scale
skirt or zipper bag - leaving with a strong foundation of skills to continue on your sewing

Functional Skills Maths Entry 2

You'll develop essential maths skills and work towards a nationally recognised Entry Level 2 qualification in Functional Maths. This course is perfect for anyone looking to improve their maths skills for everyday life or further study. We'll support you every step of the way!
Sewing Classes
This Course is a series of 3 hour lessons for beginners. You will be shown how to thread up and use the sewing machine and join in the group projects in each course.
There are 2 different 5 or 6 week courses available each term, and they change every term so that you can cover a wide variety of projects throughout the year:
Autumn Term:
Part 1 - making a cushion cover and a large tote bag - 5 weeks
Part 2 - making an A line skirt- 6 weeks
Spring Term:
Part 3 - making a pair of elasticated/ drawstring trousers or shorts - 5 weeks
Part 4 - making a top - 6 weeks
Summer Term:
Part 5 - making a simple dress - 5 weeks
Part 6 - revisiting any previous projects or working on your own chosen project - 6 weeks
You do not need to take all of the courses but taking a selection would help you to easily progress before moving on to an intermediate course.
