Introducing participants to the fundamentals of data science and machine learning using Python. This course will equip you with practical skills to analyse data, apply statistical methods, build machine learning models, and make data-driven decisions.

Course Content

What is Data Science?
Introduction to Data - Structured and unstructured data, databases, and big data
Using Python for Data Science
Data Manipulation with Pandas
Data Visualization with Matplotlib and Seaborn
Introduction to Machine Learning
Using Scikit-Learn and Tensorflow to build machine learning models

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date.

Basic understanding of programming concepts (preferably in Python). This is not a beginner s IT course, and you must be able to use a computer to join.

First Class Requirements

You may wish to bring a notepad and pen to make notes.

Attendance Requirements

100% attendance required. Please let your tutor know if you are unavoidably absent.

Assessment Methods

Personal Learning Plan (PLP) and practical activities.
