This course will be delivered online.
Are you passionate about supporting young children? This course is designed for anyone who wants to understand mental health in children aged 0-5. You'll learn how Early Years Practitioners can support children's wellbeing whilst gaining valuable knowledge to progress to further qualifications or employment in health, social care, or education. We'll help you make a real difference in young lives.
Please note: This course is free for GLA-funded learners only, subject to eligibility and funding checks. Learners outside the Greater London Authority (GLA) area are not currently eligible for funding.
Makaton Early Years Taster
Makaton Early Years Taster session.
These short sessions are designed for people who are interested in finding out about Makaton and helping to decide whether to attend further Makaton Workshop training.
The Taster gives you a general introduction into what Makaton is and who uses it, and it gives you the opportunity to learn some Makaton too. You'll be shown the signs and symbols for around 30 useful everyday words, plus another 12 on an Early Years theme.
Participants receive handouts covering the vocabulary they have learned and general information regarding further Makaton training and Makaton resources.
