DIY Kitchen Printmaking

This course takes a fun look at the world of high-quality domestic printmaking, investigating a range of techniques from lithography to intaglio. Making our prints and plates using a range of commonly available domestic equipment we’ll see how you can adapt wooden spoons, pasta machines, nail varnish lamps and well-known soft drinks to produce professional level prints.

Etched Lino

For people who are enthusiastic about linocut this course will provide you the opportunity to create an interesting new dimension to your practise. You will create an A4 print by combining two or three lino blocks with a mixture of etched and cut marks. You will learn how to etch lino with a caustic soda based solution and how to register multiple blocks so they print over each other.

Introduction to Japanese Woodcut Techniques

This course is a relaxed introduction to using Japanese woodcut tools, and creating a print with watercolour methods. A fun way to explore colour, relief printing and drawing, you will also learn how to print in several layers using a range of hand-pulling techniques.

Make relief plates from Photopolymer using drawings, photographs or paper stencils. Investigate block printing, text, type and embossing.
