Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Coding (DL)
This course will be delivered online.
This qualification is designed for learners who are looking to gain an introduction to coding.
This will likely be with a view to studying the subject at a higher level and/or seeking employment in a software development related role.
To be eligible for this course you must have at least Level 1 English skills (e.g. Functional Skills English) or equivalent. If you are not able to produce evidence of an English qualification, you will be required to take a short assessment.
To ensure this course and style of learning is suitable for you, we will also require you to complete a short course application and attend a brief [online] interview. You must have access to the necessary I.T equipment and internet service to study on this course. A PC, laptop or tablet is recommended.

Course Content:
• Exercises and techniques to improve your playing, such as breath control and articulation
• Simple musical theory in order to understand and access the music more fully
• Repertoire for various combinations of instruments, from renaissance classics to fun arrangements o Ensemble skills and musicianship o Historically informed playing: style, ornaments

• We will learn together as an ensemble, while also taking note of individual parts

Image Editing Essentials with Photoshop
This course explores techniques, structures and materials to create your own Artist Books, unique volume or short run Artist Edition. Possibilities include reclaimed and altered books, renewals, reprints and sculptures in book form.
Learn to adapt traditional and innovative bookbinding techniques, structures and projects of intermediate complexity. Projects establish progressive skills upon which you can build and reliably adapt.
Learn to arrange text and image for accessible self publishing from your own computer and home printing environment.
This course will show you how to develop and prepare your work for entry in some of the UK’s top Artist Book fairs with your own bespoke limited Artist Editions and unique volumes of sound construction and lasting beauty.
Develop your own personal project with tutored guidance. Projects draw upon western and eastern historical bindings as well as intermediate book concepts such as text and image, layering, fold-outs, non-adhesive bindings and the book as sculptural object.
This is a leisure course with no formal assessment. Pariticipants are encouraged to pursue outside development, interests and further practice independently.
Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Cyber Security - NCFE (DL)
This course will be delivered online.
The target learner for this qualification will be an individual looking to gain a greater understanding or build upon their existing knowledge of Cyber Security issues. This will likely be with a view to studying the subject at a higher level and/or seeking employment in a Cyber Security related role.
To be eligible for this course you must be 19 or over on 31st August prior to the course start date. You must have Level 1 English skills (e.g. Functional Skills English).
